Extinction Rebellion Brighton Newsletter
10th August 2022
WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING?
On Sunday July 31st instead of the regular general meeting we held a picnic to celebrate our achievements over the year so far. Some members of XR Brighton Samba came to offer training to would-be players.
All are invited to join XR Brighton Samba for their rehearsal sessions at
Banjo Groyne. It’s a great opportunity for some outreach
activity. The next rehearsal session will be on Thursday 18th August 18.30 - 20.30
MORE BANNER DROPS
Brighton rebels continue to string banners across major local highways whenever a trained local work team can be assembled. For information about safe banner dropping see Summer Uprising Banner Drop

THE CLIMATE TRICYCLE
The Climate Tricycle paraded on Hove Lawns accompanied by XR Brighton Samba players. Curious Sunday afternoon promenade strollers attracted by the arresting design were keen to learn of its provenance and readily engaged in discussions about the climate crisis and XR’s efforts to persuade our Government to act. It was a great opportunity for constructive outreach.
Starting Friday 12th August Nadia will be arranging a series of creative sessions in the Queens Park area. From 5.00 pm onwards you are invited to create flags, patches etc working inside and out. For further information contact Nadia.
