Every Day is Earth Day

Extinction Rebellion Brighton Newsletter: 25 April 2020

A great resource for connecting, learning and supporting in these difficult times! Save for later if you can’t read it all now

“We can no longer exploit the resources of this earth—the trees, the water, and other natural resources—without any care for coming generations. This Earth Day let’s resolve to live in harmony with nature.” -Dalai Lama

Earth Day was celebrated differently this year—with online activism and messages that have revitalised us during this difficult time.

Many people are struggling with the effects of prolonged lockdown, and we have mobilised ourselves to provide support, for instance through our daily Coffee Morning at 11am which everyone, new to XR or not, is very welcome to.

Come to the coffee morning or the general weekly meeting, share a new skill, or take part in a workshop to discuss how we can use this time to plan for the transformative change we need. More info about XR Brighton and getting involved can be found here: https://xrbrighton.earth/get-involved/.

As a group, we send huge love, strength, and thanks to all on the front line helping look after the vulnerable and to all those impacted in any way by the global pandemic.

Stay responsible, stay strong, and stay kind.

No Going Back—A paint the streets initiative set for 30 April!
