Whatever happens at COP26 next week, we’ll be COPING with a different world soon.

Learning how to cope will be one thing, understanding why is another. This crisis was so unexpected. We had been doing so well, building an excellent world for ourselves. What went wrong? So many questions; so many answers; so much confusion. So…

We have organised a family-friendly session of explanations, demonstrations, and games that answer some of the main questions and might inspire some more questions (which we will also have answers for).

Drop in at any time. Likely stay: 40-60 minutes

TRICK OR TREAT HALLOWEEN MARCH

Come and join our Halloween March this Sunday. Pumpkin soup and fun! We will be taking the Rebellion to some of the worst polluters in Brighton. Dress for Halloween; we want to spook the polluters into action.

STAYING IN BRIGHTON DURING COP26?

We need everyone to come and shout for action on November 6th!

The Brighton COP26 coalition is organising the biggest possible protest in our city on Saturday 6th November (rally and march assembling 12 noon at The Level, setting off at 1pm) as part of a day of action taking place as the COP26 summit meets in Glasgow.

CAN YOU HOST A REBEL ON NOVEMBER 13TH?

On 13th and 14th November, an XR Central team will be coming to Brighton to run in-person training in co-liberation. Rebels will be travelling from around the country to attend, and some would benefit from a place to stay. Could you put someone up overnight?

DON’T DRILL DUNSFORD

A new camp has been erected overnight to oppose UKOG (UK-Oil-and-Gas) drilling on the edge of Surrey hills AONB (area of outstanding natural beauty).

The camp is fully geared out for long-standing occupation of the site, with food, firewood, two bell tents, and a very sturdy pallet house!

The camp currently has a crew of 10+ but it is looking for more numbers to really get momentum up at the start of this occupation.

If you would like to, come and get involved with the start of this momentous campaign against new oil and gas in the UK.

XR BRIGHTON GENERAL MEETINGS

We are now holding two meetings a week, one online on Tuesdays and one in person on Thursdays. Everyone is welcome. Come, join in, reflect, and plan our way to make a difference and create change. It’s you that makes the difference!
