What’s Been Happening?
Rebellion of One in Brighton
Three brave rebels sat in the road on Saturday to draw attention to the government’s lack of action on the climate change and biodiversity crisis.
There was good coverage in the Argus and online. Many people voiced their support for the action.

Around the country, 200 people took part in the Rebellion of One. Well done everyone!
Kill The Bill
Saturday May 1st
B&H XR once again took part in the Kill The Bill march in Brighton. The march was very well attended and the Samba band were in fine form!
The next march will be on Thursday May 13th.

We'll also be stickering the frontpages in supermarkets - by scanning the QR code, shoppers will find out who's really behind the headlines...
The Liverpool trials for the 2020 blockade have got off to a great start & the London trials begin on Monday. Next, with your help, we'll bring thousands to the streets with us & demand a truly free press.
Remember, you do not need to be affiliated with any group to take part; this affects everyone and we need everyone if we're going to win.
So grab some friends and get going. You can use the designs provided below, or create your own!

G7 ~ MAKE THE WAVE
7 - 10th JUNE
Join the UK-wide action in the days leading up to the G7 Leaders’ Summit in Cornwall.
Connect with your local community and Movement of Movements groups, using imagination to highlight the reality of rising sea levels. MAKE THE WAVE will surge into an unstoppable force for change - demanding our government and the world’s leaders take decisive action on the Climate Emergency.

School Strike
10th and/or 11th of June
The plan is to have a school strike in B&H to highlight the MAKE THE WAVE campaign. Do support your school strikers!
Samba Band Practice
12th May, 6-8pm, Wildpark, Coldean
Do you want to make some noise? The next Samba Band practice will be from 6-8 at Wildpark, Coldean on May 12th. Do come along. No previous musical experience needed.

BIG PARTY - Put the Date in your Diary!
May 22nd, 11.00am, Preston Park Clock Tower
We will be getting together to celebrate our achievements and to look forward to a summer of actions on the streets. Do come along and meet old friends, or make new ones. If you have never been involved in XR before, we would be delighted to see you. There will be a samba workshop, a cycle swarm and many other events and the return of The Lightship Greta!
