Rebel Rising South East - Day 1

From iNews:

"At first glance Dyke Park in Brighton is like any other park in late summer in Britain. There are sunbathers, children playing football - and a collection of marquees hosting that great summer pursuit of ordinary British folk – plotting rebellion. It is an unseasonably hot day. So it is apt that the marquees have been erected by the south east group of Extinction Rebellion to train volunteers for an upcoming action in London."

"Down the road at Brighton and Hove Sixth Form College – hired for the day – the lecture going on in the theatre isn’t about maths or English lit. It is sobering stuff about mass extinction. Elsewhere there are badge-making stalls. (“Branding is all important,” says my guide David, a 51-year-old tree surgeon who carts his gear around on an electric cargo bike.)"

"You can also learn about “bike swarm” protests, or find about the different “parent groups” such as arrestee support, or media."
