‘Fete of the World’ outside of Barclays Bank

‘Fete of the World’ on Saturday 30th March outside the Brighton branch of Barclays Bank to demand the bank divest from fossil fuels, as it’s the biggest backer of the fossil fuel industry in Europe.

From Latest Brighton:

"Campaigners staged a protest outside a bank to challenge its climate change policies on Saturday. The activists from Extinction Rebellion put up a banner outside the North Street Barclays Bank branch in North Street. They are critical of the bank, which they claim invests billions of pounds into the fossil fuel industry at a time when scientists have called for coal, oil and gas to be left in the ground. Mike Ran was there to find out more."
