A23 Roundabout Symbol

From Brighton and Hove News:

Environmental campaigners have taken advantage of changes to the Patcham roundabout flowerbed to extend their own style of welcome to visitors.

Last week, we reported that the box hedge used to spell out welcome had been taken out after becoming diseased.

The bed has now been replanted with red blooms – but an activist from Extinction Rebellion has also used white chalk stones to create a logo from the climate change campaign.

A spokesman for Extinction Rebellion said: “It certainly looks like one XR supporter has been busy. I saw it yesterday and it looks great.

“Apparently a few of the flowers were carefully moved but none were damaged when the chalk stone was put down.”
