NVDA Training - updated for 2020

1st Feb 2020 13:00 - 17:00

Brighton Friends Meeting House, BN1 1AF

This training is probably the most important thing you can do to prepare for the year ahead! We need to show the world that we won’t stop until the climate and ecological crisis is addressed sufficiently.

If you are new to XR or haven't done NVDA before then this is essential for you!

It will be a 4-hour workshop led by Freya with Lucy in support. We learnt so much in London last year and are putting that knowledge together in this re vitalised training…

It will cover: - how to interact with the police - how to de-escalate tense situations - elements of self-defence and techniques from the health service - adrenaline and reactions in stressful situations - Coping skills and how to maintain structure in chaotic situations - what to do if you are arrested - and much, much more

It’s all about how we manage ourselves on the streets, how we stay calm and disciplined and focused no matter what.

This training is for EVERYONE and not only for those who are willing to be arrested – it’s important that we all understand and are able to make informed choices about when to walk away or when to sit in the road.

The venue is accessible and a collection for the room hire will be taken on the day.

Please ensure that you have eaten before you come - we will have a break but are not allowed to eat in the room itself.
