Brand new de-escalation training

The New Year brings both challenges and hope for Extinction Rebellion. We have grown exponentially and will continue to do so, with fresh and focussed actions. This year is more important than ever, and we need to be ready. There will be actions at both national and local levels - with Non-Violence at the heart of it all.
De-escalation is a key skill for anyone involved in any action.
And, each Affinity Group should ideally have a couple of people with de-escalation skills within the group.
This training will provide: - a deeper understanding of non-violence - de-escalation skills for small groups and individuals - de-escalation skills for large crowds
The session will be 4.5 hours with a break in the middle. It will be led by Joe who is a fantastic, experienced trainer form the wider region – it will be AMAZING!
Please bring water and snacks, and if you feel like bringing a plate of something to share that would be lovely too.
