CONNECT – BUILD – PLAN – CELEBRATE

The Rebel Rising South East is a weekend of inspiration, training, support and the chance for newcomers to meet the South Eastern Extinction Rebellion community and for all of us to get more involved

DAY 1: Saturday 14th September (9:30am - 7pm at BHASVIC)

Day 1 offers inspirational workshops and talks, networking circles, Non violent direct action training and much more, a People’s Assembly, regenerative culture and self care, a families space, QTIPOC safe space, elders representation, great food and live music.
Register for Saturday’s events.

DAY 2: Sunday 15th September (11:30am march then 12 noon - 11pm at Concorde 2 / Sea Lanes)

Day 2 offers more live music than you can shake a stick at (including Asian Dub Foundation, Orbital, Alice Russell, the Dub Pistols and Mark Chadwick from the Levellers) a flamboyant XR march from Pavilion Gardens (think banners, flags, drummers, the Red Rebels Brigade, Bike Squad) as well as an address by Brighton Pavilion Green MP Caroline Lucas and further networking circles and training opportunities. That’s all happening at the Concorde 2 music venue and Sea Lanes.
Register for Sunday’s events.

Both days will give us the chance to develop ideas, tactics and skills, so we can all can play our part in the upcoming Extinction Rebellion International Rebellion, which comes to London and other cities around the world on 7th October. Get details of the London actions.

Born in 2018, Extinction Rebellion (XR) is made up of ordinary people no longer prepared to sit by and watch the planet burn. Its rebels and campaigners are drawn from all ages and all walks of life.

Every voice on every action counts;

Whether you’re a seasoned campaigner or completely new to XR, Rebel Rising South East is a welcoming, family-friendly place that can help you find your place within this evolving movement. You can be a part of this joyful, life-changing campaign, be it as a cyclist, steward, wellbeing expert, press officer, cook, knitter or painter, photographer, film-maker – or if you just want your voice to be heard.

Bring your family and friends along and join this most important of campaigns.

We all have a role to play.

Are you ready?

QTIPOC, PoC and LGBTQI

There will be a QTIPOC, PoC and LGBTQI Regen Safe Space on Saturday 14th 11am-4pm at BHASVIC. Please book your free place if you identify as any of the above as spaces are limited and we'd like to get an idea of numbers. To support as an ally, please share widely and share the love by respecting the need for a safe separate space.
